Why does our country tolerate the mischiefs of a few mindless brutes?? Why do we not give a daunting reply to the miscreants?? Why doesn't a terrorist think twice before he could launch a terror against our country?? The series of terrorist attacks rocks the country every other day and we take it as just another news in one of the corners of the newspaper.
The answer to the above questions is that we have repeatedly given people reason to believe that we are very tolerant nation. Tolerant to the true sense of the word. When centuries ago barbarians from Central Asia came, we were tolerant. When British came as traders, we were tolerant. And on top of it we are also proud of this fact that we are tolerant.
Does'nt tolerance to this extent mean injustice to our own people? We must draw a clear line between the tolerable tolerance and intolerable tolerance. I do not intend to confuse the reader. I just mean that we must never be taken for granted as a nation. We must make a statement through our treatment of the guilty. Any terrorist or for that matter any country can't take this country for a ride. Let us make sure we demonstrate this through our punishments of those who are found guilty in yesterday's blasts in Jaipur.
